Here is the information for the NEPS (NFS Extensions for Parallel Storage) Workshop to be held December 4, 2003 at the University of Michigan, sponsored by CITI. Workshop Registration The registration fee for the workshop is $250, which includes all meals on the day of the workshop. Attendees are responsible for their own transportation and lodging arrangements (see below). The fee may be paid by credit card by contacting CITI at (734) 763-2929; we also accept checks. Karen will have your credit card receipts at the meeting when you sign in. Workshop Hotel The workshop hotel is the Campus Inn, 615 East Huron St, Ann Arbor, MI. You may call the hotel at 1-800-666-8693 to reserve your room. The room block expired November 3, 2003, but rooms are still available; ask for the UM CITI block or the group number 4924. The prices available to us are from $129 to $178 for single occupancy, depending on the type of room requested. Nearest Airports Detroit Metro Airport (http://www.metroairport.com/) Airport Transportation Cabs are available as well as rental cars. Cabs are $50 one way. Metro Ride at 1-800-320-1683 offers $45 for up to 4 people one way. Checker Sedan 1-800-351-5466 is $48 per person. Metro and Checker must be reserved 24 hours in advance. Driving Directions to Hotel Please see hotel website at http://www.campusinn.com/ Parking at Hotel There is parking at the hotel, on a limited basis; no more than one space per room. Workshop Venue The workshop will be held in Room 2029 of the Campus Safety Services Building Conference Center, 1239 Kipke Drive. If you are driving to the meeting you will need to ask CITI for a parking permit. Driving Directions to Workshop Venue Exit the back of the parking lot at Campus Inn, turn right on State St. Turn right at the second light onto Washington St. Turn left at the fourth light onto Main St. Follow Main to Stadium Blvd. (you'll see Michigan Stadium on your left), and turn left onto Stadium Blvd. Turn left onto Kipke Drive which is just past Crisler Arena. The Campus Safety Services Building is a white building and is the leftmost of two large buildings straight ahead and on the right. Park in any of the large nearby Orange or Yellow lots. Your permit is good in all Orange and Yellow lots. Go in the front door of the building, where a sign will direct you to the meeting room on the second floor.
