CITI is pleased to host the October 2007 NFSv4.1 Bakeathon. The purpose of this event is to test implementation interoperability of NFSv4.1 protocol features. NOTE: We will be testing implementations of draft-ietf-nfsv4-minorversion1-13. Bakeathon DatesMonday October 8th through Friday October 12th 2007. RegistrationRegistration is closed. AgendaThe bakeathon concentrates on interoperabilty testing, and it is also a time where NFSv4 implementors can discuss related specification, bring up implementation issues, etc. We accept requests for meetings to place on the agenda, and try to set the agenda by the end of the day, Monday. Parking at CITIWe have not made any special arrangements for parking. As in past years, we have the shuttle bus instead. There is parking available on the street, but see the CITI location page for the street parking rules.
Confidentiality AgreementAll bakeathon testing participants will need to a Confidentiality Agreement availabel soon, prior to participation. We will hand them out on Monday, October 8th, or you can bring a signed agreement with you. HotelWe reserved a block of rooms at the Holiday Inn Ann Arbor from Saturday October 6th through Thursday October 11th. The rooms are priced at $109.00 for a single or double room, breakfast included. There will be a shuttle service from the Hotel to CITI - details later. Contact the hotel, and ask for the CITI bakeathon room block. Rooms must be reserved by September 22, 2007 to get the block rate.

Testing PartnersStay tuned - we will be organizing the testing of NFS4.1 features. ScheduleIn general, the doors to CITI will be open between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM. Fruits, Coffee, Pop, Donuts/Bagels will be provided each morning. Lunch and Dinner are not provided, and will be ad-hoc (no scheduled time!) NetworkEach table will have one 10/100/1000 megabit (1G) switch. We also have 10/100 hubs available for network monitoring. Please bring your own cable, 3-6 ft (1-2 m). IP addresses will be real (no NAT) but will be behind a firewall that lets connections out but not in. There will be both static and dhcp addresses available. Names will be in the citi.umich.edu domain. If you need static addresses or have special requirements for the firewall, please let us know ahead of time. CITI's wireless network is also available for generic laptop use, but is not behind the firewall. (The WEP key is posted inside CITI.) Kerberos and LDAP ServicesCITI will provide a Kerberos v5 cell, and an LDAP service.
